Using a Flipped Classroom to Teach Evidence-Based Practice to Entry-Level Occupational Therapy Students

Constructivist teaching approaches rely on students to be active participants in their learning. A flipped classroom is a constructivist approach that requires the complete pre-learning activities outside of class. Thus, class can practice and engage team-based discussions teacher guided We delivered evidence-based (EBP) concepts entry level occupational therapy (OT) doctoral program using approach, included model reliance strategies. used Evidence Based Practice Confidence (EPIC) Scale assess change students’ confidence EBP. Students demonstrated statistically significant differences for EBP after course. Evaluation changes EPIC scores indicates are effective teach OT students.
